About BGGuessr

BGGuessr is a daily guessing game for board game people. A mystery title sits in the box; you have ten guesses to name it. Every wrong guess prints a row of clues, in red, yellow or green, for year, player count, expansions, mechanics, categories, designers, artists and publishers. Two optional clues (a hidden cover and a revealed column) cost a heart each.

The pool is the BoardGameGeek Top 1000, split into three difficulties: Casual (Top 100), Serious (Top 500) and Expert (Top 1000). Each pool has its own daily puzzle and its own streak, and the daily resets at your local midnight. Endless mode deals random games from the same pool whenever you want.

Game data (rankings, credits, mechanics, cover art) comes from BoardGameGeek through its public API and is refreshed every week; the current list was synced on 2025-10-14. BGGuessr is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with BoardGameGeek or with any publisher.
